Forskningsområde och forskningsgrupp

Vindenergirelaterad forskning på Institutionen för geovetenskaper studerar både vindprofilen och turbulens genom mätningar och modellsimuleringar. Institutionen har, i samarbete med WeatherTech Scandinavia, genomfört en nationell vindkartering. Aktuellt pågår det forskningsprojekt om vindkraft i skog, isbildning på vindkraftverk och ljudutbredning från vindkraftverk.

Vindenergiforskning har bedrivits sedan 1975. I början var forskningen koncentrerad på mätningar: De första masterna byggdes vid vindkraftverken Kalkugnen (35 m höjd) och Näsudden (upp till 145 m höjd). Senare tillkom en mast i Lapplandsfjällen vid Suorva och en 140 m-mast i skogen vid Ryningsnäs. En ny 180 m-mast planeras tillsammans med OX2 Wind AB på en skogsklädd kulle i södra Sverige.

Forskningsområde och forskningsgrupp

Vindenergirelaterad forskning på Institutionen för geovetenskaper studerar både vindprofilen och turbulens genom mätningar och modellsimuleringar. Institutionen har, i samarbete med WeatherTech Scandinavia, genomfört en nationell vindkartering. Aktuellt pågår det forskningsprojekt om vindkraft i skog, isbildning på vindkraftverk och ljudutbredning från vindkraftverk.

Vindenergiforskning har bedrivits sedan 1975. I början var forskningen koncentrerad på mätningar: De första masterna byggdes vid vindkraftverken Kalkugnen (35 m höjd) och Näsudden (upp till 145 m höjd). Senare tillkom en mast i Lapplandsfjällen vid Suorva och en 140 m-mast i skogen vid Ryningsnäs. En ny 180 m-mast planeras tillsammans med OX2 Wind AB på en skogsklädd kulle i södra Sverige.
