Conference Paper Submission

When preparing your full paper for submission to Wake 2021, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Papers must be between 5 and 10 pages in length.
  • Papers must be submitted online via the IOP page no later than the closing date.
  • A revised version of the paper, addressing all reviewers’ comments, must be submitted online via the IOP page no later than the closing date.
  • No paper – no podium: an author will not be scheduled to make an oral or a poster presentation if the full paper has not been submitted and revised based on the reviewers’ comments within the deadlines.
  • Copyright: IOP Conference Series operates a publishing licence, under which authors retain copyright of their papers and they no longer need to sign and submit copyright assignment forms. Any author must agree to the terms of the licence and, by submitting a paper for publication, it is assumed all authors of the paper agree, in full, to the terms of the licence. The licence terms and conditions are available online at Proceedings Licence.
  • Formatting guidelines:
IOP Conference Series uses author-supplied PDFs for all online and print publication. Authors are asked to prepare their papers using Microsoft Word or LaTeX, according to the journal guidelines and templates, and then convert these files to PDF. Full instructions on preparing your paper, along with templates, can be found on the IOP Conference Series website at:
  • It is important to ensure that when you submit your paper, it is in its final form ready for publication, and has been thoroughly proofread. IOP does not copyedit papers and will not send out author proofs prior to publication. Please note: post-publication changes are not usually permitted, unless there are exceptional circumstances, so please ensure your paper has been checked for errors.

All papers submitted MUST use the templates and procedures presented. Failure to use the template and follow the procedures outlined will result in your paper being rejected for review and publication.

At least one of the authors on the paper must attend the conference for your paper to be published.
